Am I the only one who stares at plain banners, waiting to see if they'll do a trick?

Do you think I should alter my layout for every holiday? For example, for Halloween, I could make the image fade from orange to black, and change the text color(s) accordingly. For Christmas I could make the image fade from green to red... and so on. What do you think?
